are value-added services offered to enrich your total communication experience. Here are a list of some,
followed by instructions on how you can set up some of them.
INTERNATIONAL CALLS
With Starcomms you have the benefit of worldwide connection through International Direct Dialing (IDD). No special configuration or permission necessary.
Making International Calls
You can make calls from your phone to any country around the world. To make international call:
Dial 009
Enter the country telephone code you wish to call
Enter the telephone number of the person you wish to call
(Example, to call somebody on a mobile number in South Africa: Dial: 00927 XX XXX XXXX or to a Johannesburg number 00927 11 XXXXXXX)
MISSED CALL NOTIFICATION SERVICE 
Now, you can't miss a call! Yes, with Missed Call Notification where you will be sent an SMS alert informing about
your missed call.
The Missed Call Notification Service will be available to you under the following Situations:
So when somebody calls you, and if your phone is either in switched off mode or not reachable, the caller will hear the following:

CALL WAITING 
Now you can switch between calls and never miss an important conversation.
Call waiting is a unique facility that notifies you that a second call is waiting during an active call,
and allows you to switch between calls. You will be notified of the waiting call by a reocurring beep which will be audible
to you during the phone conversation.
The Call Waiting Service will be available for free to all roaming customers (0702-8, 0702-9, 08190 & 08191) customers
under the following scenario:
When you are already on a call and when someone else calls, you will hear the waiting tone(a beep) and the number flashing.
You can do the following:
Press END (to end the current call) and answer the second call.
-
Ask the 1st Caller to hold on and press 'Accept Call' and talk to the second caller.
Again press the 'Accept Call' button to speak to the 1st caller.
So when the caller is on hold he will listen to the following voice prompt:
"Please hold, the number you have dailed is busy"
You can deactivate the service by dailing
*740. At any point of time, you can re-activate the service by dailing *74.
CALL FORWARDING SET-UP
This allows you to pass incoming calls to where you will be, so you never miss an important call.
To Activate: Dial *72 and the number you want the calls forwarded to
- To Deactivate: Dial *720
- All calls will be forwarded no matter the state of your line
CALL CONFERENCING SET-UP
This allows you to have that important meeting even when those involved are not in the same location.
Call Conferencing:
enables you to hold your meeting right on the phone wherever your are, as this feature allows you to connect as 3 to 10 people on phone in a conference
- Set Up:
To ADD a number, dial *60 Followed by the Number i.e.
Call first number as if making a normal call
Dial second number: *60 + Phone number + Press CALL/OK/REDIAL
- Repeat the process to add others numbers to the conference call
- Then press Call again to allow all the numbers to join the conference call (Up to 10)
- To DROP a number, dial *61 Followed by the Number
To Drop all Numbers:
Dial - *61 + CALL or Simply press END if you initiated the call
To Drop a Particular Number:
Dial - *61 + Phone number + Press Call
**Please Note
You cannot drop the 1st number you dialed by dialing because you did not dial *61 to call the number
(Note: you can include other networks in your conference call)
CALL SCREENING/ CALL BARRING
You can restrict access to your phone by the following features
By list of numbers
You may specify a list of numbers which is used to screen incoming calls.
By password
You may wish to set an access password for screening your calls. Callers
will be required to input the access password correctly before continuing connection. If password
is incorrect, the caller is prompted and the call connection will be terminated.
By time segment
This allows you to set up screening for calls within a particular time segment.
Anyone who calls you within that period will be screened and a prompt tone will be sent to those
who cannot be connected.
CALL FORWARD/NO ANSWER
With this feature you can forward calls to another number specified by you.
To activate, dial *92 and the number you want the call forwarded to
To deactivate, dial *920
Calls will be forwarded only when there is no answer
CALL FORWARD BUSY
With this feature, the caller won't hear a busy signal when you redirect incoming calls to an available number.
To activate, Dial *90 and the number you want the call forwarded to
To deactivate, Dial *900 Calls will be forwarded only when the line is busy
CALLER ID
This feature displays incoming phone numbers so you can answer urgent calls immediately,
direct others to voicemail, or avoid unwanted callers.
SELECTIVE CALL REJECTION
Stay focused by screening out calls from up to 12 specified numbers while allowing
others to get through.
STARCOMMS PRIVACY ID
Unknown callers will be required to speak their names at a tone, allowing you decide
whether to take their calls or not.
3WAY CONFERENCING
Instantly create a three person conference.
VOICE MAIL
With voice-mail you won't miss any important call.
