What is Google SMS?
Google SMS is a very simple service. A g-mail subscriber can send messages from his/ her g-mail account to any Starcomms phone directly from the internet. The Starcomms customer will get the message as a SMS on his phone and can reply to the message through SMS. Any message sent from the g-mail account to Starcomms phone is free of charge. A message sent from Starcomms phone to g-mail account is N5/SMS.

How does it work?

1. Log into your g-mail account

2. In the chat window type in the Starcomms number you want to chat with. There is no need to put in the prefix +234 before the number. So simply type in 07028000XXX

3. Send the message to the phone number.

4. The person with the Starcomms phone receives the message as an SMS

5. He/she can reply to the SMS at N5/sms.

6. The person on Gmail will get it on his screen as a chat message from the number
