ALERT ON FRAUDULENT RECRUITMENT / JOB OPPORTUNITY SCHEMES

The attention of Management of Starcomms Plc has been drawn to existence of advertisements and emails emanating from fraudulent persons, soliciting applications from Job seekers, often asking them to pay a fee and assuring them of job placements with Starcomms Plc if they make such payment.

Sometimes, they are sent letters of employment purportedly issued by/from Starcomms Plc and asked to pay some fees for processing of work permits and other licenses. The contact addresses and phone numbers contained in such emails and letters posted on the originating web-sites are not authentic neither are they related to Starcomms Plc.

We believe they are part of an attempt to perpetrate fraud on un-suspecting members of the public. Starcomms therefore dissociates itself entirely from any of such emails and web-sites described above. The only authentic website maintained by Starcomms remains "http://www.starcomms.com."

Advertisements for positions within Starcomms Plc are usually made in the national newspapers, or on the career page of the Starcomms official website at http://www.starcomms.com/about_us/careers.aspx

In the event that you receive any of the emails described above, we advise that you take the following steps:

• Do not respond to such unsolicited offers from people you are unfamiliar with
• Do not disclose your personal/financial details to anyone you do not know.
• Where applicable, contact the Nigerian Embassy in your country. You may in addition also refer such mails to your country's Embassy/High Commission in Nigeria for investigation.
